New PaceLab Options Now Available for Fast Bowlers in South Africa
PaceLab is excited to officially launch new fast bowling development options in South Africa, giving bowlers and families more ways to access specialist support through the PaceLab system.
Our aim has always been simple: to help fast bowlers bowl quicker, stay more robust, and perform more consistently through objective profiling, clear coaching standards, and long-term development planning. With our South Africa offering now growing, players have two clear routes to work with us through our setup at Paul Roos.
Option 1: PLF Programme at Paul Roos
The first option is thePLF Programme at Paul Roos, which is our regular in-person programme for bowlers who want consistent, structured support over time.
This option is designed for players who can commit to regular in-person training and want to immerse themselves in a high-performance environment focused specifically on fast bowling development.
Through this programme, bowlers work on the key areas that underpin performance, including:
Ball speed development
Physical development and power outputs
Technical efficiency
Workload management
Robustness and availability through the season
The PLF Programme at Paul Roos is priced atR2,500 per month, with payments starting inApril.
Option 2: PLF External Hybrid Programme
We also understand that not every bowler can attend weekly in-person sessions. For that reason, we are also launching thePLF External Hybrid Programme.
This programme is designed for bowlers who still want access to the PaceLab system but need a more flexible format due to travel, school commitments, or location.
The Hybrid Programme starts inMayand runs across20 weeks. It includes:
4 live Sunday sessions
1 session per month
3 hours per session
Ongoingonline supportthroughout the programme
This gives bowlers the benefit of key in-person coaching contact, combined with continued support remotely so that progress can continue between live sessions.
The pricing for the Hybrid Programme is:
4 live sessions at R900 per session = R3,600
20 weeks of online support = R4,500
Total programme cost = R8,100
Why this matters
Fast bowlers need more than just net sessions. They need a system that helps them understand what is actually limiting performance and a programme that supports long-term progress.
Both South Africa options are built around the same PaceLab philosophy. The focus is not only on helping players increase speed, but also on making them more efficient, more resilient, and better prepared to perform over time.
This launch is an important step in growing specialist fast bowling support in South Africa, and we are excited to continue building opportunities for aspiring bowlers who want a clearer, more proven development pathway.
